Weekend of Rachel Dressing Me Blog Challenge, Day 3

Plaid Button Up Man-Shirt, AA Jersey Skirt, Studded Belt, Angel Wing Ring, White Knee High Chuck Taylors

So, last weekend my friend Kate and I took up a blog-and-dressing challenge where we had to pick someone that would see us everyday for three days and let that person dress us for those three days without any intervention or interference from either of us--they got to pick.

I fell into camera troubles the whole time and so day 3 happened but posting the pics got delayed. Here they are finally. For day 3, Rachel said she wanted to take the challenge of dressing me in someone else's clothes. She borrowed my friend Nick's shirt and tried to put it on me as JUST A DRESS--that is, I'd be wearing the button up shirt as the only covering of my torso AND legs. Nick's a tall (6'4") guy so his shirt's pretty loose on me. Rach was thinking that looseness would be enough to make it long on me too. Once I actually put it on though she THANKFULLY realized it was a bit short for such ideas and added a skirt underneath. phew!

Weekend of Rachel Dressing Me Blog Challenge, Day 2

Day two of Rachel dressing me included one of my favorite dresses (though I LOVE both of the dresses she picked for yesterday too--good job, Rachel! Yay!).

Today's dress though happens to be pretty damned see-through too, which I don't think comes across in these pictures. Funny thing when you spontaneously end up driving your bf's 16-year old son to a bbq with a bunch of pretty conservative folk. Still, when I was sitting down and they hadn't yet realized they could fully see my ass through the dress I was able to have some awful nice conversations.

Also, today Rach took like 200 pictures of various outfit details--today's outfit was all about details.

Weekend of Rachel Dressing Me Blog Challenge, Day 1

My dear friend Kate and I agreed to a blog and dressing challenge for the extended weekend--we'd each pick one person that would see us every day of the challenge that would also choose what we'd wear over the challenge time period. They'd get to pick everything we'd wear without any input from either of us to try and change their minds or suggestions. Originally we'd talked about going for a whole week like this but with work demands (boringness) in the way we decided to limit it to a time period of only fun days, so three days it was.

Kate was able to have her partner Drew pick outfits for her--and the brave man committed to two outfits a day even. On my side it's my adorable eleven year old daughter. Oh god, to be honest, I've been prepared for the three days to kill me. But, actually day one turned out pretty close to fantastic.

Here are the first two outfits.

Outfit One: Friday Day Time

Zac Posen Dress, Lanvin Heels, Alfresco Unique Group Watch

Outfit Two: Friday Evening
(Going to First Friday Artwalk, on a date with kids--tricky combo for dressing)

All Saints plaid corset dress, Rick Owens sandal wedge boots, Alexander Mcqueen angel four-knuckle ring
(put the ring on right after the pics were taken)
